PRIVACY & TRANSPARENCY
Privacy policy
Your dealership workspace. Clear information about your data.
About this policy
This policy covers the Dealer Listing Studio Chrome extension and its Dealer Studio Control service. The service helps authorized dealership teams retrieve inventory, create Facebook Marketplace vehicle listings and update prices on linked listings. Last updated: October 17, 2026.
Information we handle
We process dealer activation codes, a randomly generated installation identifier, an installation label you provide, a public authentication key, dealership assignment, access status, and activation and last-active timestamps. A label may contain a name if you choose to enter one. The extension keeps its private signing key locally in your browser. Control-panel accounts use an email address, a password stored as a salted hash, and a session cookie. Dealer activation codes are stored in hashed form for validation and encrypted form so the authorized owner can retrieve them.
Vehicle and website content
Dealership logo images may load from the service or an HTTPS image host selected by your administrator. That host receives the network request, including your IP address; logo requests omit the page referrer. We retrieve dealership inventory and vehicle pages, including vehicle descriptions, stock numbers, prices, kilometres, specifications, photos and source URLs. When you request a listing action, the extension reads relevant Facebook Marketplace form fields and listing content and fills or updates the selected vehicle information. Vehicle-to-listing links, recorded prices, cached inventory and task progress are stored locally in your Chrome profile. The vehicle URL selected for retrieval is sent to our service. We do not collect your general browsing history, Facebook password, messages or authentication cookies.
Security and operational information
The service uses request IP addresses to generate hashed, time-bucketed rate-limit identifiers for abuse prevention. This does not provide GPS tracking. We keep security and administrative events, such as activation, revocation and account-management events. Hosting providers may process network and technical request information to deliver and protect the service. We do not use advertising trackers or record unrelated browsing, keystrokes or mouse movements.
How information is used
Information is used to validate licences, enforce installation limits, identify authorized installations, provide dealership branding and inventory, perform requested listing and price-update tasks, support users and protect the service against misuse. Authorized control-panel users can see dealership and installation information, including installation labels, status and last-active times. Owner-only controls manage administrator accounts and licence codes.
Sharing and transfers
Vehicle information and photos are sent to Facebook when you use the listing features. Facebook processes that information under its own policies and account settings; published listing content can be visible to other Facebook users. Our hosting and infrastructure providers process information as needed to operate and secure the service. Data may be processed outside your province or country. We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell user data, transfer it for unrelated advertising purposes, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending. Our use and transfer of extension user data is limited to providing or improving its stated purpose, security, legally required disclosures and other uses allowed by the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.
Storage, retention and deletion
Local extension data remains in your Chrome profile until it is cleared or the extension is removed, subject to Chrome’s storage and backup behaviour. Signing out clears activation and cached job/inventory data, but does not remove all local keys or saved listing links. Server-side dealership, installation and account records are retained while needed to operate the service. Authorized owners can delete suspended dealerships, revoked installations and eligible administrator accounts. Security events and hashed identifiers used to prevent reactivation of deleted installations can remain after those records are deleted. Expired rate-limit and replay-protection records are cleaned up periodically. Removing the extension does not delete server records or Facebook listings. Contact the service operator to request access, correction or deletion of retained personal information; some information may need to remain for security or legal obligations.
Your choices and contact
You choose which vehicles and listings to use with the extension and can stop using it or uninstall it at any time. You can request access, correction or deletion through the software provider who supplied your Dealer Listing Studio licence, using the support contact details provided with your licence or service agreement. If your access was provided by a dealership, ask your dealership administrator to forward the request to the service operator. Do not include passwords, activation codes or private authentication keys in a privacy request.
Protection and changes
We use HTTPS, signed installation requests, access controls, password hashing and encrypted storage for retrievable dealer codes. No system can guarantee absolute security. This service is intended for dealership business users. We may update this policy as the service changes; the current version and update date will remain available on this page.
